Technical information
Overview
Our downloadable contract management software package is
intuitive, easy to install, and runs within the secure environment
of your Microsoft Windows network. The end user's desktop can be
any operating system with any modern web browser. The software runs
on a Microsoft Windows Internet Information Services (IIS) platform
using the Microsoft .NET Framework (.NET 3.5). The database
requires the Microsoft SQL Server (pronounced "Sequel Server") 2005
or 2008 edition.
Technical Specifications
Supported Versions of Microsoft Windows
Contract Eagle has two key components, each of
which require a Microsoft Windows system to run:
- Web Application. Requires a version of Windows
that supports Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) and the
Dot Net Framework version 3.5.
- Database. Requires a version of Windows that
supports Micrsoft SQL Server 2005 or 2008. Contract Eagle does
support the Express editions of SQL Server.
The following table shows the available Microsoft Windows
systems and whether the Contract Eagle Web Application and Database
are supported with those editions.

Partially Supported * = Windows 2000 server is capable of
hosting the database component of Contract Eagle only. As Microsoft
has not made the .NET Framework version 3.5 available under Windows
2000 Server it is not capable of hosting the Contract Eagle
software or Microsoft SQL Server 2008.
Hardware Requirements
Contract Eagle requires basic hardware to operate. Almost any
modern computer hardware will be sufficient to host Contract Eagle.
The key requirements, stated below, are to ensure that you have
enough computer memory (RAM) and data storage space (hard
disk).

A suggested rule of thumb is to allow 1 gigabyte (GB) for every 100
contracts. This allows approximately 10 megabytes (MB) for every
contract, which is largely dependent upon the size and number of
documents you load against each one.
